Business Name's Lifecycle

Every natural or legal person who trades under a name other than his'/ her's real name must proceed with the incorporation of a business name. 

Any change in the business name's details must be notified to the Registrar of Companies accordingly. See here in detail the relevant obligations regarding the updating of the register of a business name during its operation.

A business name may cease its operation in the Republic of Cyprus either through its voluntary strike off or due to its involuntary strike off by the Registrar of Companies, if there is reasonable cause to believe that the business name does not carry out business activities.
