Are you starting your business activities in the Republic of Cyprus? Here, you’ll find a step-by-step guide for the incorporation of a company, the redomiciliation of the registered office of a foreign company to the Republic of Cyprus, and the establishment of a business through the cross-border merger of companies.
A company, following its incorporation with the Registrar of Companies has the statutory obligation to maintain its register up to date, by complying with its annual obligations and by notifying any changes in its particulars, within the specified time limit defined in the Companies Law.
A company may cease its operations in the Republic of Cyprus in a number of ways such as voluntary strike off, cross-border merger, transfer of seat outside the Republic of Cyprus or by reason of its involuntary strike off by the Registrar of Companies for non-complying with its statutory obligations e.g submission of annual returns. Notwithstanding the above, subsequently to its voluntary or involuntary strike off, a company may be restored to the companies register.
