The above graph depicts the total number of registered companies in the register of the Registrar of Companies as at 31st of December of each year, from 2006 to 2018.

There is an increase in the companies registered during the period 2006 to 2013. Whereas, during the years 2014 to 2016, there is a decrease mainly due to the actions taken by the Registrar of Companies regarding the updating of the register and the striking off, of non-active and non-compliant companies. It is also noted, that from 2017 it picks up again with a slight decrease during 2018.

In total, the number of registered companies has increased by approximately 60.000 during the above mentioned period.
