The main criteria of review of form EE1 are:

  • the business name;
  • the nature of operations (must not be illegal in case of services);
  • the place of operations in Cyprus;
  • the name of the owner (must be a single person either natural or legal);
  • the nationality (in case of non-EU, permission is required by the Immigration Officer);
  • the home address or address of the registered office in Cyprus;
  • the date of commencement of operations must be earlier to or the same with the date on which the application was stamped by the Department;
  • signature by the owner of the Business Name.

Most common reasons for rejection of the form by the examiner:

  • failure to fill-in/submit the above details;
  • the business name is not the same as the one that has been approved;
  • failure to sign the form by the owner;
  • the form does not carry the seal of the owner company;
  • failure to fill-in the address of the registered office where the owner is a company;
  • failure to fill-in the date of commencement of operations (the date must be earlier to the date of the Registrar’s stamp on the EE1 form);
  • the submitted form is not the statutory form. The statutory forms are available on the website and offices.
