Involuntary Striking off a Business Name

Strike off of non active business name

When the Registrar of Companies has reasonable cause to believe that a business name does not carry out any business, a letter by post may be send to the place of business.

In the event that the business name responds that it does not carry out any business activity or does not respond within one (1) month from the date of notice, the Registrar of Companies may strike the business name off the register and proceed with the publication of the strike off in the Official Gazette.
