Listed Companies

1. What applies for listed companies on the Cyprus Stock Exchange?
Cypriot companies listed on the Cyprus Stock Exchange are exempt from the obligation to submit the relevant data.

According to the provisions of the Directive for the BO register, companies listed on a regulated market that is subject to disclosure requirements consistent with Union law or subject to equivalent international standards which ensure adequate transparency of ownership information are exempted from the obligation to submit the BO details onto the register.
2.What applies in the event that all shareholders are listed companies?
In the event that one or all of the beneficial owner is a listed company on a regulated market or subject to equivalent international standards or on a Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF) of the Cyprus Stock Exchange-CSE (existing Emerging Companies Market (E.C.M.) of the CSE), the following information must be submitted:

a) Listed company name-(mandatory field)

b) Registration number *(if any) c) Country of jurisdiction-(mandatory field)

d) Regulated market name- (mandatory field)

e) Country of regulated market- (mandatory field)

f) Nature and extent of the beneficial interest

It is clarified that the nature and extent of the beneficial interest will be submitted exclusively on the percentage of the company listed on a regulated market that is subject to disclosure requirements consistent with Union law or subject to equivalent international standards in the entity.
3. Are listed Companies on a Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF) of the Cyprus Stock Exchange-CSE (existing Emerging Companies Market (E.C.M.) of the CSE) exempted?
Yes they are exempted.
