Certificate of Transfer of EEIG's seat

Provided that the Registrar of Companies is satisfied that all relevant requirements of the legislation and the regulation (EEC) No 2137/85, for the registration of an EEIG, have been met, he will proceed with the publication of the EEIG’s registration to the Official Gazette and will inform accordingly the Publications Office of the European Union. At the same time, the Registrar of Companies notifies the registration of the EEIG's seat in the EEIGs register to the competent authority of the Member-State.

The EEIG is deemed to be registered in the Republic of Cyprus, from the validity date of the certificate of transfer of seat issued by the Registrar of Companies. The EEIG's registration number is stated on the aforementioned certificate.

The certificate of transfer of seat may be obtained from the Department’s mail boxes, from the Point of Single Contact Cyprus, or by post.

Certified Copies

Optionally, by paying the amount of one hundred and twenty euro (€120) accompanied with a certified copy of the contract of formation, or at the cost of one hundred and thirty euro (€130) if no copy is attached, the following certificates/certified copies of the EEIG are issued:

• Certificate of Members;
• Certificate of Directors and Secretary;
• Certificate of the Registered Office Address;
• Certified copy of the Contract of Formation;
• Certified copy of the Certificate of Transfer of Seat.

If the accelerated process is chosen the above certificates/certified copies can be issued, faster, at the additional cost of one hundred euro (€100).
