Transferring an EEIG's seat

Submission of application for transfer of EEIG seat

Once your proposed name has been approved and provided that you have taken the relevant decisions regarding the transfer of seat of your EEIG, you may proceed with the submission of the application for the EEIG’s continuation to the Republic of Cyprus.

Provided that the EEIG has published the notice, for the transfer of seat, in the Member-State of its seat and no competent authority has opposed to the notice of proposal to the transfer its seat in the Member-State where it is based, you may proceed with the submission of the form "Declaration of Name, Seat, Objects, Member details and Duration of EEIG" (ΕΟΟΣ 1) to the Registrar of Companies, by hand/post, accompanied by:

  • documentation of the publication of transfer proposal for its seat to the Republic of Cyprus;
  • declaration that no competent authority has opposed the notice of proposal for the transfer of its seat to the Republic of Cyprus;
  • transfer proposal;
  • certified translation of the transfer proposal, either by an affidavit or by sworn translator of the Republic of Cyprus, in case where it is in a language other than Greek;
  • form Details and Change of Details in relation to officers (form ΕΟΟΣ 3);
  • permission, consent or pre-approval by the appropriate governmental authority or appropriate body in case it is necessary for the use of  words or expressions and/or due to the nature of business respectively, in case it has not been submitted already with the application for name approval; and
  • total fee of three hundred and forty euro (€340) and an additional fee of one hundred euro (€100) in case you wish to expedite the process (payable in cash, by cheque, through an account maintained with the Department of Registrar of Companies or through by bank order).
