Obtaining Certified Copies/Certificates

Obtaining certified copies/certificates online

You may submit your request to obtain certified copies/certificates online, though the e-filing system of the Registrar of Companies by completing the relevant electronic form and paying the corresponding fee as per below:

  • twenty (€20) euros per certified copy/certificate or
  • forty (€40) euros for a certified copy of the memorandum and articles of association, and
  • In case an accelerated procedure is required an additional fee of twenty euros (€20) per certified copy/certificate must be paid.

The aforementioned fees are payable by credit card.

Please refer to the relevant list of Certified copies / Certificates of companies which may be obtained online.

It is noted, that a certified copy of the memorandum and articles of association of a company may be requested electronically only during the electronic submission of an application for a company’s incorporation and not at any other point. Following the incorporation of a company, a certified copy of the memorandum and articles of association may only be obtained by hand/post.

Following the submission of request and the payment of the corresponding fees, the certified copies/certificates will appear in the electronic workspace of the registered user.

All certificates and certified copies issued electronically bear a relevant authenticity code. The authenticity of the electronically issued documents may be verified online for a period of 90 days from the date of their issue.

If you wish your certified copies/certificates to be signed, you may present them to the Certified Copies Section, where they will be signed and sealed by an officer of the Department of Registrar of Companies.

If you, already, are a registered user of the electronic system you may proceed with the electronic submission of your request, otherwise you must first obtain access by registering onto the efiling system.

You are advised to refer to the main criteria of review and to the most common reasons for rejection, so as to acquire a better understanding of what is required and to facilitate the process further.
